TISS has been at the forefront of studying social, economic and environmental determinants of health. Over the last few years, TISS has been Working on Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene(WASH); Socio-economic and environmental issues in urban settlements; and human exposure to pesticides and other chemical contaminants.
