The Child Guidance Clinic of TISS, (now known as Muskaan) was established in 1937 to offer clinical services to children with emotional and behavioural problems.

Over the years, Muskaan has evolved into an inclusive space shifting from the concept of a 'clinic' to reach out to children to promote their mental health and well-being.

Vision

Mental health is an integral aspect of a child’s overall well-being and a right of every child. Muskaan will work towards ensuring that every child and adolescent has access to mental health services, within a sensitive and conducive environment with full participation of the various social systems.
