Dr. Subhash Chandra is currently as Assistant Professor of Economics (teaching and research) in the School of Gender and Livelihoods at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Hyderabad. He has nearly two years of teaching experience in Economics at the Undergraduate and Master degree levels. Before joining this university, he worked for one year as Assistant Professor (Guest Faculty) in the School of Economics at University of Hyderabad and also worked as Assistant Professor, Department of Economics at Christ University Bangalore. He completed his B.A. and MA in Economics from University of Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh. He obtained his MPhil and PhD degrees in Economics from the University of Hyderabad. He has been teaching Introduction to Economics, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Development Economics, Labour Economics, Research Methodology, and Industrialization Globalization and Labour to IMA and MA students. His present research interests are broadly in chronic poverty and economic inequality, public policies, discrimination, and development issues. He has published six research papers which appeared in refereed journals.
