Dr. Sangita Thosar working as Assistant Professor in Advanced Center for Women's Studies, School of Development Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. Graduation in Political Science (Pune University), Post Graduation in Political Science (Pune University), Post Graduate Interdisciplinary Certificate Course in Women's Studies (Pune University), working in the field of Women's Studies from 2007 and teaching in Women’s Studies from 2009. Her research area is Caste and Gender, Women’s role in Various Social Movements, Citizenship and Dalit–Adivasi women's Questions. Wide publication in Marathi and English in the area of research. Currently she is involved in a research on Identity politics and reconstruction of caste-Patriarchy.
Broad research areas are Caste and Gender, Social Movements, citizenship and Dalit – Adivasi women's questons .
