Dr. Neha Christie is an Assistant Professor at the School of Skill Education, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) in Mumbai. Her teaching courses are focused on the aspects of ethics and governance, organisational behaviour and sustainability, to prepare students for internships and placements in prominent organisations while also motivating them to start their own ventures.

She has conducted significant studies on cooperatives and Farmer-Producer Organisations (FPOs). Her PhD dissertation addressed the changing social capital in the cooperatives of Gujarat state in India. She received the Young Researcher’s Award from the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) for her research on Indian cooperatives.

Her principal research areas are collective behaviour, democratic governance, social capital, trust, community resilience, solidarity economy and inclusive and sustainable development. Her professional experiences include both academic and nonprofit organizations, where she has managed projects involving local institution building, leadership, women's political participation and sustainable development.
