Dr Ipsita Sapra has been a development practitioner for over a decade before moving into full-time academics in 2010. Ipsita has a PhD in Social Sciences from TISS, Mumbai, and her work involved understanding the livelihoods of young persons with disabilities in rural India. She has been associated with the Prime Ministers Rural Development Fellowship programme. Her research interests include social conflict, gender and development and care in the context of cities.
Ipsita is a recipient of Commonwealth and the British Chevening Scholarships, United Kingdom.
Ipsita is the Faculty Coordinator of MA and Post Graduate Diploma programme in Public Policy and Governance at TISS, Hyderabad.
