Dr. Gajanan T. Hivale has completed Ph.d in English. He is self-directed, enthusiastic educator with a passionate commitment to student development and the learning experience. Skilled in the design of challenging, enriching, and innovative activities that address the diverse interests and needs of students. He has taught in VJTI, Mumbai and NIT Goa. He has taught Communication Skills, Business English , Presentation and Communication Skills, Professional Communication Skills and Professional Ethics in CIPET Aurangabad, VJTI Mumbai and NIT Goa. He has delivered guest talks on Cracking the Selection Process, Group Discussion and Professional Communication Skills. He has conducted workshops on Attributes of Academic Writing, Interview Skills, Cracking the Selection Process and Professional Skills.

He was invited and participated in Ten Days International Faculty Development Program organized by Fo Guang University, under the Ministry of Education Southbound Policy Project ,Government of Taiwan held on 01 November 2024 to 10 November 2024.

*Organized One-Day Joint Workshop on the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989, and its Amended Act of 2016. Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Tuljapur, in collaboration with the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute, Pune, Government of Maharashtra. The workshop brought together a diverse group of participants (385), including social workers, activists, police officials, law practitioners, academics, and students from the Latur, Dharashiv, and Solapur districts. The workshop's objective was to enhance awareness, understanding, and implementation of the Act to ensure better protection and justice for marginalized communities. (28.01.2025)

Overview: This project undertook a comprehensive investigation into the nature, frequency, and systemic patterns of atrocities committed against Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes in the specified districts. The study aimed to generate actionable insights for policy reform and law enforcement sensitization.

2. Ongoing/Sanctioned Research Project Title: Evaluating the Implementation and Socio-Economic Impact of the Gatai Stall Scheme on Scheduled Caste Leather Workers in Maharashtra: An Empirical Research Study

Overview: This empirical study seeks to assess the effectiveness, outreach, and socio-economic outcomes of the Gatai Stall Scheme as implemented for Scheduled Caste leather workers across Maharashtra. The research aims to inform future policy enhancements and inclusive development strategies.

3. Ongoing/Sanctioned Research Project Title : Baseline Survey of Mining-Affected Communities in Yavatmal District: A Multi-Sectoral Assessment of Socio-Economic and Environmental Impacts on Vulnerable Populations Funding Agency: Yavatmal District Mining Foundation, Government of Maharashtra

Duration: 6 Months

Budget: ₹23 Lakhs

Project Overview: This research project aims to conduct a comprehensive baseline survey of communities affected by mining activities in Yavatmal District. The study adopts a multi-sectoral approach to assess the socio-economic conditions, environmental challenges, and overall well-being of vulnerable populations residing in mining-impacted areas. The findings are expected to inform evidence-based policy interventions and sustainable development strategies tailored to the needs of these communities.
