Mr. Puttaraj A. Choukimath is serving as Asst. Librarian (Selection Grade), with 'Sir Dorabji Tata Memorial Library', and as a faculty member of 'Centre for Library and Information Management Studies', at ‘Tata Institute of Social Sciences’ (TISS), Mumbai. He holds B.Sc., B.Ed., M.L.I.Sc. (Karnatak University-Dharwad), UGC-NET (Lectureship, December 2000, UGC-New Delhi), PGDLIM (TISS-Mumbai), and pursuing his doctoral studies at TISS Mumbai. Having started his LIS career with INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar (Ahmedabad) during 1999 as a ‘Library Trainee’, has gained more than 18 years of rich professional experience. Mr.Choukimath has the credit of contributing 38 papers and 2 (two) edited volumes, in the international and national level conferences, seminars, journals and festschrift volumes etc. He served as an active member of several committees such as CLIMS-BoS, CLIMS-Curriculum Consultative Committee, CLIMS-UGC-NET Coordinator, BOSLA-Infoline editoral committee, BOLA-executive committee, etc. He is a Life-Member of several professional organisations such as ILA, BOSLA, SALIS, and MALA.
