About the event: 

On the valedictory session on the 9th February, 2024, Shri Rajiv Kumar, Honourable Chief Election Commissioner of India(CEC) graced the student presentation. He broadened the future scope of understanding elections and its deeper significance in the future of democracy.

He emphasised on the electoral process and electoral management at large and centred his speech around the integrity of Indian elections.

While interacting with the MIEMP students, he said that the Indian elections hinge on the trust of the voters and all factors such as accessibility, logistics , technology and innovation contribute towards a free and fair election that helps election management bodies like the ECI achieve and maintain this trust. The valedictory session closed with discussion and feedback from all of the participants.
