Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam – A Green Tribute to Mothers and Nature

The Students Affairs, in collaboration with the facility services, celebrated World Environment Day today and enthusiastically participated in the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign, reaffirming its commitment to environmental sustainability and ecological responsibility.

Students, staff, and faculty members came together for the plantation drive, during which Prof. Anil Sutar, Dean, Doctoral Students Office and Dr Sonali Kusum, School of Law, Rights and Constitutional Governance, addressed the gathering. They highlighted the vital role of the environment in our daily lives and emphasised how nature nurtures and supports us from childhood, much like a mother.

As part of the initiative, more than 50 saplings were planted in the campus. Participants also took a pledge to protect the environment and committed themselves to nurturing and caring for the plants they planted.

The event served as a meaningful reminder that every tree planted today contributes to a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future for generations to come.

Plant a tree, nurture nature, and honor the unconditional care of our mothers.
