Vigilance Awareness Week was observed at the Institute from 27th to 31st October 2025 in association with Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL), with great enthusiasm and active participation from students, faculty, and staff.
The week commenced with the Integrity Pledge, reaffirming our collective commitment to honesty, transparency, and ethical conduct. A unique "Tree of Vigilance" was created, where participants imprinted their coloured palms on a canvas, symbolizing the pledge that "these hands will neither give nor take bribes." 🌿
As part of the program organised by the Personnel and Administration Section, Mr. Anand Khole, Deputy Registrar (Admn) welcome all dignitaries, Faculty and Staff. Dr. Josephine Anthony (Chairperson, CEJCF, School of Social Work) addressed the gathering on the significance of vigilance in both professional and personal life. Prof. Sunil Santha, Acting Registrar, also addressed the audience, while the Acting Vice Chancellor administered the Integrity Pledge to all faculty, staff, and students.
The Office of Students Affairs (OSA) organised engaging activities such as debate and elocution competitions for students to promote critical thinking and reinforce the message of integrity. The OSA later organised a prize distribution ceremony for the winners. Dr. Vaishali Kolhe (Associate Dean, OSA) and Dr. Josephine Anthony encouraged students to uphold honesty and integrity in their academic and personal pursuits. Ms. Priti Kumari, Senior Manager (Vigilance, IOCL), administered the Integrity Pledge once again before presenting the awards to the winners, along with Ms. Akshata Jadhav, IOCL official.
Here are a few glimpses from the week that celebrated integrity, accountability, and ethical action!
