Call for Papers: Academic Conference on Organisation Development, Change and Leadership is organised by Centre for Social and Organisational Leadership (C SOL), School of Management and Labour Studies, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai

Organisations are increasingly affected by constant change, and the ability to adapt and stay relevant is the key determinant of their very existence. Exponential rate of change in technologies, demographics, partnership and alliances, work structure and diversity has facilitated an augmentation of the markets, opportunities and in turn the expansion of organisations. However, such spurt of simultaneous growth taking place through number of avenues emanates convolution of processes and harbingers conflict with a potential of eventually causing organizational malfunction. This has created a significant need for a genre of Organisation Development (OD)/ Change professionals who are able to enable organisations to better respond and adapt to industry/market changes and technological advances by deeply impacting organisational and human factors. To bring about sustainable change and to create both competitive and collaborative advantage for organisations, OD and change professionals need to have expertise in managing and developing people; and a deeper understanding of knowledge and practice of various business functions. We also need to focus on nurturing the next generation global leaders who can understand the new world as a system of interacting components that impact each other in significant but often underutilized ways; opening doors for more holistic, effective and innovative leadership. Therefore, being able to identify, adapt, implement change with efficiency and accelerating growth and performance while continuing to be congruent with the core values of the organisation is crucial for the sustainability and potential growth for business and societies.

The objectives of this conference are:

  • To critically evaluate emerging themes and theories in organisation development and change management
  • To identify various tactics and strategies evolved by organisation development and change professional
  • To deliberate upon the challenges and issues faced by organisation development and change professional during the process of facilitating organisational diagnostics and interventions
  • To explore the intersection of art in OD

The thematic areas would be as follows:

  • Organisation Development
  • Change Management
  • OD & Leadership
  • Art & OD
  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Organisation Analysis and Diagnostic Models and Interventions (Human Process Interventions; Techno Structural Interventions; Large System Interventions)
  • Action Learning in OD
  • Emerging Trends in OD

Participants
