The School of Gender and Livelihoods hosted the first ever Gender and Livelihoods Conclave 2025 wherein experts from different sectors.

The event saw highly informative and passionate discussions with eminent speakers - Prof. Ajailiu Niumai , Prof. Aparna Rayaprol , Dr. Aakansha Natani, Dr. Roopa Bose, Prof. Amir Ullah Khan , Dr. Sridevi Gummadi, Dr. Lavanya Suresh , Girija Devi, and Dr. Susmita Sarkar. The four panel discussions on Work, Technology, Economic Empowerment, and ClimatePolicy brought the spotlight on the challenges and opportunities that these sectors present when addressing the gender question. The insights shared in the conclave will show the pathway to actions through research, policy advocacy, institutional reforms and grassroots initiatives. It’s imperative to recognize the collective responsibility of all of us to work towards create spaces for gender-equitable livelihoods!
