Applications are invited for the post of Research Assistant purely on temporary basis for a project titled “Understanding Agniveers: A Study into Linguistic Competencies of Tribal Aspirants for Defence” funded by Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi. The project duration is for twenty four months.  

Name of the post: Research Assistant (1)

Period of Appointment: 18 Months

Monthly Remuneration: Rs. 20, 000/- p.m.

Travel, accommodation and field visit expenses will also be paid/reimbursed for the fieldwork and archival research on submission of bills/receipts.

Qualifications: M.A. in Linguistics/Sociolinguistics/English Literature/Cultural Studies/Social Sciences (55% minimum) with NET/M.Phil./Ph.D. The candidate must have excellent communication and writing skills in English. Proficiency in Telugu/Hindi.

Nature of Responsibility: Administering questionnaires, conducting interviews with target groups, field data collection, data analysis, using suitable software, liaising with experts and agencies, contributing to organisation of conferences, collating and editing scholarly materials.
