The speaker
Dr. Jyotsna Vijapurkar is an astronomer who jumped in with both feet from astronomy research into science education research. Her major interest is in science curriculum development and the nuances of classroom interactions that make for meaningful science teaching. She has recently retired from a faculty position at the Homi Bhabha Centre for Science Education, TIFR, in Mumbai. Apart from journal publications, she writes popular articles for the general public as well as teachers.
