Centre for Life Long Learning, TISS, in partnership with JustBeing, is hosting an engaging workshop, focusing on 'Mindfulness and Presence of a Therapist/ Mental Health Professional in Psychotherapy'.
The therapist's presence is a crucial, often unseen, element of transformative change within the therapeutic process. Mindfulness, as an embodied practice for the practitioner, unlocks this potential. This workshop will emphasise 'being' a therapist, alongside the necessary knowledge and skills to navigate the therapeutic space. It will adopt a trans-diagnostic and holistic approach to therapy.

About CLL, SSW:
The Centre for Lifelong Learning (CLL) was established on 15th February 2006, with the aim of providing training for adult learners in the institute's areas of expertise. The CLL was formerly known as the Department of Extra Mural Studies, established in 1981. It caters to two categories of adult learners: (a) professional groups undertaking continuing professional development, and (b) individuals from diverse backgrounds outside the formal education system, or those who have had limited access to formal education and wish to pursue training or goal-oriented short-term vocational programmes.
About the Facilitator:
Sandy Andrade is the Founder-Director of the Just Being Centre for Mindfulness & Presence. She is a Mindfulness & Presence-Oriented Psychotherapist (Trauma & Attachment Resolution), Facilitator, Trainer, and Mentor. She is an internationally accredited MBCT Teacher. With 23 years of experience in mental health, her approach combines contemporary psychology with wisdom traditions.
