The ceremony began with the National Flag hoisting by our Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Badri Narayan Tiwari, followed by a vibrant cultural programme reflecting India’s rich diversity.

We were honoured to welcome Dr. Gajanan Dange, President of YOJAK – Centre for Research and Strategic Planning for Sustainable Development, as our Chief Guest.

The event was graced by Dr. Narendra Mishra, Registrar (Offg.), Prof. M Marriapan (Dean, Students’ Affairs), esteemed Deans, faculty, staff, and students.

A special highlight was the presence of alumni from the 1976–77 batch, who travelled especially to attend the event and shared their memories and words of encouragement with the students.

As we commemorate this historic day, we are reminded of our shared responsibility to uphold the values of justice, equality, and inclusion - core to the vision and mission of TISS.
