As part of the Viksit Bharat Lecture Series, the Jamsetji Tata School of Disaster Studies cordially invite you for a Public Lecture on "Institutional capacity enhancement, climate and disaster resilience and Viksit Bharat", on 25th March 2026, at the S Parasuraman Hall at 4 PM.
Mr. Praveen Singh Pardesi, IAS, the CEO of Maharashtra Institute for Transformation (MITRA ) and The Chief Economic Advisor of the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, [https://www.linkedin.com/in/p ] will deliver the public lecture. Hon. Vice Chancellor Prof. Badrinarayan Tiwari will chair the session. Prof. Amita Bhide, will be the discussant for the session.
The Lecture will focus on the role of institutions, the need and scope of capacity building of the various institutions to ensure that they are able to adapt with the natural, climatic and anthropogenic hazards and become an engine of disaster resilient Viksit Bharat. We also plan to review policy initiatives in Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation, and explore how these initiatives are mainstreamed in the flagship programmes of the Government of India.
