As part of the Viksit Bharat Series, the Jamsetji Tata School of Disaster Studies TISS Mumbai, organised a panel discussion on 20 March 2026 on “Geospatial Artificial Intelligence (GeoAI) for Disaster Management.”
Moderated by Dr. Ravinder Dhiman, Ph.D. (Assistant Professor, Centre for Water Policy and Governance, School of Habitat Studies, TISS Mumbai), the session featured:

• Dr. Roshan Srivastav (Associate Professor, Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering & Head, Geo-Intel Lab, IIT Tirupati)
• Ms. Ankita Sindhu (Sr Pre-Sale Expert – Education; Senior Engineer & Data Scientist, AI Vertical, ESRI India)
The discussion explored GeoAI innovations, challenges in data infrastructure and modelling, and its growing role in multidisciplinary disaster management approaches.
