World Elders Day (also known as the International Day of Older Persons, observed on October 1) is an occasion to honor and celebrate the contributions of older persons to society while raising awareness of the issues and challenges they face. It highlights the importance of promoting healthy, active, and dignified aging and reaffirms society’s commitment to the rights and well-being of older people.
This year's theme is “Empowering Elderly Voices for an Inclusive Future.”
