Dr. Sneha Biswas is an Assistant Professor at the School of Public Policy and Governance, Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Hyderabad. She has a PhD degree in Development Studies from the Institute for Social and Economic Change (ISEC), Bengaluru, India. Her PhD thesis is titled as "Socio-economic vulnerability of the coastal ecosystem: A study of Indian Sundarbans". Her research work attempts to understand how pre-existing socio-economic condition contributes to people’s vulnerability. She has been awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship (Geography) and Prof. D. M. Nanjundappa Endowment Prize in Development Studies from ISEC. She is the faculty coordinator for M.A. in Natural Resources and Governance.
