● My teaching vision is to bring together an integrated knowledge of different dimensions of environment & management from the various experiences. I have gathered over 13 years of research since my research journey began in 2013. The research component from my research experiences in NITIE (IIM-Mumbai), IISc-Bangalore & University of Pune, the corporate experience from my research in NITIE & Morgan Stanley Capital Index (MSCI), the rural experience from my field research at TISS-Tuljapur. I also bring many experiences and collaborations with the Corporate, NGO, and Government sectors. In addition to the above subjects that I already teach here at TISS-Tuljapur. I want to use the case study method so as to have better engagement with students so they can learn through discussion and debate other than being one way. If possible also include an element fieldwork component for more practical learning and understanding of the ground realities, which has been a significant source of learning for me and students here at TISS.
In research context I would like to make use of the research experiences and create a new contribution to the field of research. In the past, during my days as research scholar at IISC-Bangalore, I have had the experience of working on climate modeling and our team prepared one of the first models for state action plans for Karnataka. Then in NITIE, I conducted research on stakeholder engagement and sustainable value creation but there was a heavy focus was on the corporate sector perspective. In TISS, I have expanded the horizon of research by working with government agencies like government of Maharashtra wherein I studied the implementation of PoCRA project in Marathwada region Maharashtra and studied the needs of the small and marginal farmers. Presently, my research is related to watershed project and its socio-economic impact on the people. The project is being implemented by an NGO in Khandesh region of Maharashtra for water conservation, in this we are studying the impacts of the project on the migration, economic impact and the change in cropping pattern. among the people in this region and studying whether this model be replicated in other regions of Maharashtra and in future other parts of India. In near future research, I would like to extend my research horizon and come up with a integrated model, integrating the aspects of corporate, government, NGO sectors and study how they can impact the different capitals Natural, Social, Financial, Physical and Human capitals. I am also extending my expertise in the field of Smart Cities and how they can bring about improvement in people and their livelihood.
