Dr. Richa Sharma is an Assistant Professor at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, India. Her academic expertise lies in Educational Thoughts and Thinkers, Indian Epistemology, Educational Ethics, Social Science Education, Critical Pedagogy, Educational Theory, and Curriculum Studies. Dr. Sharma's current research focuses on the intersections of Philosophy of Education, Peace Education, and Critical Pedagogy.

With previous teaching experience at prestigious institutions such as the CIE, University of Delhi, Jamia Milia Islamia, Daulatram College, and Mata Sundri College, University of Delhi, she brings valuable insights to the academic community at Tata Institute of Social Sciences. She has also lent her expertise as an independent consultant to organizations including UNFPA, Room to Read, Nirantar, and Deshkal Society. Additionally, she has contributed as a Subject Matter Expert (Social Sciences) at the Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE).  

In addition to her academic endeavors, Dr. Sharma holds a deep appreciation for folk music, dance, theatre and Indian literature. With these diverse interests, she aims to enrich and enhance classroom discussions, broadening the horizons of the discipline of education.
