My current work is exploring the following research areas:

1. Extreme climatic events: What are the risks of extreme climatic events under the projected climate change? And how will changes and variability in extreme climates affect energy and infrastructure demands? How do you assess the risk of geographical regions through the hazard risk vulnerability assessment (HRVA) framework?
2. Impacts of climate variability and change on agriculture and water—how climate variability affects precipitation and temperature in the crop growing seasons, which in turn influence crop yield at regional and global scales.
3. Application of the nitrogen budget model: to understand the environmental implications of excess nitrogen use in Indian agriculture, I am also interested in exploring the nitrogen use patterns of different categories of farmers.
4. Understanding different dimensions of sustainability using a social lifecycle assessment framework.
5. Mapping the circular economy of industrial units in India.
6. Exploring stakeholders and environmental stewardship in the ESG framework of corporate strategy in India.

Received German Utility Model Patent for Invention as a co-inventor on “A system to account for the impact of COVID-19 on household economics in India.”, facilitated by Ideas2IPR.
