Interactive session for the Central Academy for State Forest Service Officers

The Centre for Climate Change & Sustainability Studies of Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai organized an interactive session for the Central Academy for State Forest Service Officers, Dehradun on the 15th of May 2024. The interactive session was anchored by Prof. Geetanjoy Sahu, Chairperson of, the Centre for Climate Change & Sustainability Studies, and research officers of the Centre Ms. Aaishwarya Jadhav and Mr. Anikt Singh. The key focus of the interactive session was how to blend social and natural sciences in the design and execution of forest management plans. Also, how, and why community forest management plans need institutional, financial and technical support from the state agencies was deliberated in the context of the Forest Rights Act, of 2006.
