The Webinar titled " History of Reproductive and Sexual Health and Rights" is the first in the series that the School of Gender Studies is organizing on the broader topic of Gender, Health and Rights to be delivered by Renu Khanna, a prolific activist in the area of health. In the first webinar on September 12th, she will discuss the history of reproductive and sexual health and rights of women in the global and national context and their evolution in the backdrop of ICPD and the Beijing Conferences and the five-yearly reviews of the ICPD. Ms. Renu Khanna will also examine the role of the global processes: ICPD Beyond 2014, the MDGs process, and the Post 2015 Development Agenda or the Sustainable Development Goals, especially in the context of SRHR, highlighting their interactions. The talk will end with a discussion on the impact of SRHR discourse on India's national health programmes.
