Workshop hosted by the Office of Deputy Director (Research)
Workshop facilitator: Jayakant Singh, doctoral scholar
About the workshop:
Mendeley is a desktop and web program produced by Elsevier for managing and sharing reference, research papers, discovering research data and collaborating online. Referencing is the acknowledgement of the sources that the researchers use in their scientific work. Although reference is very important yet, many researchers tend to leave it until the last moment because it appears to be a tedious job and a particular style of reference demands a meticulous and detailed explanation of the sources used. Technology has made reference management an easy and enjoyable process to avoid the mundane last minute job. There are many reference manager applications of which Mendeley is one of the popular reference manger freely available. Mendeley also allows one to read and annotate and create one’s own online library that can be accessed from anywhere in the world. It is one such powerful tool that makes research work hassle free, time saving and enjoyable.
