Symposium on 'Women and Work: Re-looking Sustainable Development Goals

International Relations Office (IRO) and School of Management and Labour Studies at Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai are organising a symposium on 'Women and Work: Re-looking Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)' on the occasion of International Women's Day (8th March, 2017) focusing primarily on Gender Equality; Decent Work and Economic Growth; and Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.

This Symposium aims to generate awareness around the issues of gender and labour and India's status with respect to Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and cover themes like glass ceiling; gender discrimination at work; equal wages/ remuneration both in organised and unorganized sector; sex and work etc. We wish to highlight the status of women in different professions and the challenges faced by them.
