About the Electoral Literacy Club
An Electoral Literacy Club (ELC) is a community platform to engage students through interesting activities and hands-on experience to sensitise them on their electoral rights and familiarise them with the electoral process of registration and voting.

The ELC at C-EMS, SDS is a club set up to achieve this aim of acquainting the the student members from TISS about their electoral rights as well as taking the mission of sensitising students and youth in schools, colleges and nearby communities.

The student members of MIEMP and MA DS shall lead the activities of the club, under the guidance of the faculty at C-EMS.

The students will design learning activities to stimulate and motivate youth and communities for voter participation. The ELC aims at strengthening the culture of electoral participation among young and future voters and communities in urban and peri-urban Mumbai.

What shall we do in ELCs?
In the ELC, members will be part of interesting and thought- provoking activities to motivate voters to actively participate in the electoral processes in their constituencies.

The members shall engage with the communities, schools, and colleges in and around Mumbai to spread voting awareness.

The members will also map constituencies and voting trends in Greater Mumbai.

Students are invited to join the launch and become members of the club.
