Stolen Shorelines highlight the disappearance of shorelines, especially in and around Thiruvananthapuram. It looks into the issue of coastal erosion, the vulnerability of the fisherfolk, and the more extensive environment-development debate that has shaped up on the coastline of Kerala.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER:

K A Shaji is a Kerala-based journalist who writes on politics, human rights, environment, livelihood, caste, and marginalized communities.Hailing from Wayanad in North Kerala, he is currently the senior assistant editor of the news portal South First.

He had worked with newspapers The Indian Express, The Times of India, The Hindu, and The Telegraph and magazines Tehelka and Open. He was also a regular contributor to Mongabay, Huffington Post, People's Archive of Rural India, and Down to Earth. Shaji is a recipient of the National Media Fellowship and the Sankriti Journalism Award.
