International Conference on A Fair Chance for Education: Problematising Access and Mapping Gendered Pathways to Higher Education in India

The ‘A Fair Chance for Education: Gendered Pathways to Educational Success in Haryana’, a research project led by the University of Warwick is organising a two-day online conference, co- hosted by the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai, on ‘A Fair Chance for Education: Problematising Access and Mapping Gendered Pathways to Higher Education in India’ on 15 th July 2021 (Thursday) and 16 th July 2021 (Friday).

On behalf of our colleagues, Principal Investigator Prof Ann Stewart, Co-Investigator Dr Emily Henderson and Project Partner Prof Nandini Manjrekar, we would like to extend an invitation to you to submit an abstract for this conference. Through this conference we aim to bring together practitioners, academics and researchers from across India and internationally to discuss the various facets of HE in India, with a focus on gender, access and choice in HE, HE policy and methodologies to research access to HE.

We welcome abstracts (300 words) from students, faculty and independent researchers interested in gender and higher education access and choice in India by 16 th June 2021. More information on the conference and on submitting abstracts can be found here.

We will also gradually be building a virtual network of academics and practitioners in this field. You are invited to register to attend this online conference here.
