As "the sun, the hearth of affection and life, /pours burning love on the delighted earth," in the words of poet Rimbaud, with you, we celebrate the earth and all its fruits, seasons, and inhabitants, including rocks, and rains.

After a two-year hiatus, as the campus reopens, the School Of Development Studies is proud to present a back-to-campus multi lingual poetry reading--Mango(s), Magnolia(s) & Monsoon, as a part of the Earth Day Celebration curated & moderated by poet-professor Ashwani Kumar, Dean, SDS.

Ten eminent poets, authors, columnists, lyricists and diplomats, including Hemant Divate, an award-winning Marathi poet; Abhay K, a poet-diplomat (English); Mritunjay Singh, a poet, singer & novelist (Hindi, English & Bhojpuri); Basudhara Roy, a poet-academic (English); Sonnet Mondal, poet, editor and curator (English); Sarabjeet Garcha, a poet, editor & publisher (English & Punjabi); Mamta Sagar, a poet & academic ( Kannada ), Maitreyee Bhattarachya Chowdhury, poet & editor (English ); Anjali Purohit, a poet, editor & curator (Marathi & English); and Bijoy Sankar Barman, a poet & academic (Assamese), will be joining us from all across the country to share their finest works.

Following the lovely brew of poetry, there will be an Open Mic featuring Development Studies students Anand, Kunal, Rinku, and Kavya.

The event is in collaboration with the Literary Club of SDS. Convenors of the event are Ravindra Chowdhary, Vrishali, Rahul Prakash Singh, Anubha Sah, Sonali Singh, Suman, and Tarandeep.
