Dr. Yashwantrao Yadav is an Assistant Professor at School of Skill Education (SSE) in Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai.
He is post graduate in agriculture and did doctorate in rural development from TISS. His research during PhD was on 'Information Communication Technology (ICT) in Pomology (Fruit Farming): A Case of Solapur District in Western Maharashtra'.
He have around 14 years experience in agrarian, environment and rural development sector. His interest areas are Information Communication Technology (ICT), innovations, indigenous knowledge (practices & technology), flora and fauna conservation, climate resilience and sustainable farming.

Contributed for the project 'Umed' with support of Save Indian Farmers-USA (a not for profit organization) and Kasrud villagers. Natural calamity-land slide affected farm land of Kasrud village (Tal: Mahabaleshwar, Dist: Satara, Maharashtra) is renovated with support of this project during year 2022. Total 16 acres damaged farm land is renovated and 22 farmers are benefited. Thus, farmers are able to cultivate the kharif paddy crop.
Evaluated the applications (agriculture category) for the Sixth Edition of The CSR Journal Excellence Awards 2023.
