- Prof. Ramesh A. Jare is a renowned academician and researcher in social work. He completed his Master's in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai, and his Ph.D. from Y. C. M. O. U, Nashik, Maharashtra. He is the Professor and Deputy Director of the Tuljapur Off-Campus of TISS in Dharashiv (Osmanabad district), Maharashtra.

Prof. Ramesh Jare has worked on various projects related to rehabilitation, watershed development, earthquake rehabilitation and resettlement, Watershed management, rural drinking water and sanitation, and community participation. He possesses special skills in conducting Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) workshops training for university faculty students and NGO professionals. Initiated several field action programs on women's empowerment, watershed management, and sustainable agriculture, and during ‘Covid 19’ worked with district administration on managing Covid 19 patient campus, and worked offline and online counseling in the Osmanabad district. Additionally, Prof. Ramesh Jare has made significant contributions to the development of academic courses, including Local Self Governance, PRA and Micro Level Planning, Rural and Tribal Community Development, Rural Development: State, Civil Society and Corporate: Policies and Practice, Local Governance and Social Accountability in Rural Development, Understanding Development Policies, and Rural Planning and Practice. Prof Ramesh Jare has submitted various Project reports to the Government and Non-Government Agencies, which have significant implications and contributions to developing the policy level.
